Functional foods are gaining popularity among group of people and millets have been considered as potential candidate for the same, Millets reported to be a major source nutrients because its antioxidant, anti-aging, antimicrobial, anti-carcinogenic properties some essential vitamins i.e., beta carotene (yellow pearl millets), niacin, riboflavin, thiamine minerals (Ca, Zn, Mg, Fe, Cu). found numerous health benefits effective against Celiac Disease, Diabetes mellitus, cardio vascular disease (CVD), alimentary tract disorder, Malnutrition many more. still main food millions poor population in Africa Asia. Globally millet is not currently listed one most important North American European baskets, but highlights value an ingredient multigrain gluten-free grain products. In this review significance their role management has discussed detail.
